The Hidden Hearing Heroes Awards were presented to nine deaf or hard of hearing people who have made a significant contribution to Irish society, their community, workplace, family or through sporting excellence. Over the past 20 years Dominic has devoted his spare time to and volunteered at numerous Deaf organisations throughout the country. He has contributed his organisational and directing skills to the Dublin Deaf Drama group, filled the role of secretary with Greenbow Deaf LGBT since 2004 and continues to work voluntarily with The Irish Deaf Society.
